RCIA

Welcome to our information page about Becoming Catholic. The Church refers to this process as the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, RCIA. This is the Catholic Church’s process of helping adults become Catholic or to complete their Sacrament of Confirmation.

No matter the journey that has led you here, know that Jesus loves you individually. He knows you; He’s saved you, and He’s conquered the world for you. Now it’s just a matter of learning about His plan for you and how He asks you to respond.

To assist you in learning about His plan for you, we here at St. John Paul II Parish welcome you to join us in a small group community with other adults on this journey. During this process, we will gather together to reflect on God’s Word, come to a deeper understanding of what it means to be a Catholic Christian in the world today, and gradually enter more fully into the larger Christian community.

If you are interested in learning more about Becoming Catholic and the RCIA process, we invite you to complete the RCIA inquiry form or contact the Faith Formation office (860) 267-6644.

“I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work in you will continue to complete it until the day of Christ Jesus”. From the letter of Saint Paul to the Philippians.
